TIL that the famous World Heritage site of Babylon’s most recent addition of destruction was by Saddam Hussein who built a fake Babylon honoring himself on top of the ruins. It was further destroyed by US and Polish troops whose base was built on the ruins and ran over artifacts with tanks.
