TIL there was a 12-megaton explosion that happened over the Tunguska River in Russia on June 30th 1908. It was caused by a meteor air burst between 3 to 6 miles above Earth at about 60,000 mph. It flattened an estimated 80 million trees over 830 sq miles of forest.
