TIL of Jenny Wade, she was the only civilian casualty of The Battle of Gettysburg. Between 46,000 and 51,000 soldiers from both armies were casualties in the 3 day battle, the most costly in US history. Wade was killed by a stray bullet while kneading dough in her kitchen.
