TIL Catherine Dior, youngest sister of Christian Dior, was in the French resistance in WW2. Arrested by the Gestapo in 1944, she was tortured and sent to both Ravensbruck and Buchenwald concentration camps, surviving both. Diors first perfume, Miss Dior, was named after her.
