TIL in WWII The Lockheed-Vega plant in Burbank was completely hidden below a blanket of Camouflage. It gave the appearance of a suburban area, rubber vehicles & quaint, peaceful neighborhoods, all painted on canvas to avoid bombing by the Japanese.
