TIL Oyster Mushrooms (white edible mushrooms that grow on dead trees) are carnivorous. They have microscopic lassos that attract nematodes with a chemical, then constrict around the nematode and release a toxin that paralyzes the nematode so they can absorb nitrogen from them.
