TIL of Vitaly Yurchenko, a KGB officer who was turned by the CIA and defected to the US. He gave the name of 2 moles, and in 1985 disappeared just before eating at a French restaurant in DC. He later reappeared in Russia, saying he was drugged and kidnapped by the CIA, and was given a medal.
