Today I learned about the Oh-My-God particle: an ultra-high-energy cosmic ray detected on 15 October 1991. As of 2023 it is the highest-energy cosmic ray ever observed and the time of its detection it was traveling at 0.9999999999999999999999951 times the speed of light.
