TIL that during the cold war, when navy divers repairing a whale enclosure heard a human-like voice saying “out, out, out,” and got out of the water to see nobody, they found out that a beluga whale named “Noc” had learned to mimic human speech and was trying to communicate with them.

rRNZM TIL in 1997 Vladimir Markov, a tiger poacher managed to shoot and wound a tiger and steal it's recent kill, but the tiger escaped. The tiger later found Markov's hunting cabin. He wasn't home, so the tiger tore the place up and waited. When Markov came home he was attacked and killed, but not eaten.
