TIL, there is an Irish Sportswear Company, O'Neills, that is allowed to use the same 3 stripe design as Adidas for products on sale on the island of Ireland. In 1983, Adidas took O’Neills to court for copyright infringement but lost. O'Neills was founded in 1918 with Adidas not founded until 1949.
