TIL a painting found of Judith Slaying Holofnes was originally attributed to Caravaggio but later determined to be by Artimisia Gentileschi. The blood was depicted travelling in a parabolic arc, a concept introduced by Galileo in 1608 that wouldn't have been known when Caravaggio painted his in 1599
