TIL that the water around F50 catamaran's hydrofoil reaches 100°C while sailing at high speed, meaning it is boiling. This is because the blade is slicing through the water and causes a reduction of water pressure which forms a pocket of air that dramatically affects its hydrodynamic efficiency.
