TIL about the Nichoria bone. A fossilized thigh bone belonging to an immense extinct mammal and found by the ancient Greeks. Believing the bone belonged to a giant, the Greeks venerated it. Thought to be long lost, it was rediscovered in Duluth, Minnesota.
