TIL in1940, Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, created a time capsule intended to preserve items for 6,000 years.Called the "Crypt of Civilization," it contains recordings of everyday sounds, copies of the Bible, scientific instruments, and more. It's scheduled to be opened in the year 8113.
