TIL about the Munich Agreement - lead by British PM Neville Chamberlain, France and the UK agreed to the German annexation of Czechoslovakia’s Sudetenland in September 1938 in exchange for assurances against further German aggression. Hitler seized all of Czechoslovakia 6 months later.
