TIL about a Zambian Space Program in the mid-1960s to send teenager Matha Mwambwa and two cats to the Moon. A mission to Mars was also planned. It was led by Edward Nkolonso, a former soldier and teacher. The purpose of the mission was to establish a Christian ministry for 'primitive' Martians.
