TIL of Rhoda Abbott, the only woman to survive the foundering of the Titanic. A 39 yr-old divorcee traveling 3rd class with her teenage sons, she was able to climb aboard the swamped lifeboat Collapsible A as Titanic plunged. Her sons were lost.
