TIL that in the 1946 California Gubernatorial Election, incumbent governor and future Justice Earl Warren won 91.1% of the Republican primaries... and 51.9% of the Democratic primaries earning both nominations. He would later go on to win a massive landslide of 91.6% in the general election.
