TIL of Farley Files, created by Roosevelt's Campaign Manager, James Farley. They were notes about everyone FDR ever met (e.g. spouse's name, hobbies, prior meeting notes). Farley & FDR would review the files prior to any meeting and the effect was powerful and intimate for visitors.
