TIL the tallest unoccupied building in the world is a 3,000 room hotel in North Korea. Construction on the 1,082-foot Ryugyong Hotel began in 1987 and was halted in 1992. After a number of attempts to resurrect the project, the hotel still hasn’t opened, 28 years after construction began.
