TIL: Keep Calm and Carry On was the third of three posters designed by the UK's Ministry of Information in April 1939. Nearly 2.5 million copies were printed in the weeks before WWII, but almost all were subsequently pulped when public response to the first two posters was overwhelmingly negative.
