TIL in the book that 101 Dalmatians was based on, there were 4 adult Dalmatians and 97 puppies instead of 2 adults and 99 puppies. While two of the adult dogs were named Pongo and Perdita, they weren't mates with each other but with two dogs named "Missis" and "Prince", both absent from the film.
