TIL about the Rathbone family. A family of shipbuilders and merchants from the 1700s. Members include actor Basil (played Sherlock Holmes and villains in Robin Hood and Zorro) and COL Henry Rathbone (who was in the box seat with President Lincoln when he got shot by Booth)
