TIL about primordial black holes (PBHs), hypothesized to have formed in the early universe; some small extra-dense spots collapsed into black holes as everything expanded and cooled down. It's also been hypothesized that dark matter, which constitutes 85% of the universe's mass, is made up of PBHs.
