TIL that in 1997, dockers in Oakland, Vancouver, Yokohama and Kobe refused to work a scab ship from Liverpool in solidarity with 500 Liverpool dockers who were sacked for refusing to cross a picket line. There is no confirmation of what finally happened to those containers.
