TiL: Australia's only recorded pirate is Black Jack Anderson, an African-American sealer who operated out of limestone cave rich Middle Island. From 1826, he robbed ships, murdered local Indigenous men and kidnapped their women for sex slaves. He is thought to have been murdered by his crew.
