TIL in 2006, Sharon Tendler became the first human to officially marry a dolphin. The bottlenose dolphin named Cindy had courted her for 15 years at the Eilat Reef resort town in southern Israel. Tendler told the media, “I am the happiest girl on earth,” and she added, “I am not a pervert.”
