TIL Jean-Luc Godard was friends with fellow directors and married couple, Agnes Varda and Jacques Demy. After Demy died in 1990, Godard only sent Varda the name of a restaurant where they all ate. In 2017 when Varda tried to reconnect with Godard he refused to see her and left her the same message.
