TIL that British General Lord Cornwallis, the man who lost at Yorktown thus losing the US Revolution ended his career as Governor-General of India in July, 1805 and died there 3 months later. He is interred in Gauspur in Ghazipur in a neo-classical tomb.

After 48 hours of emergency repairs, it ended up helping destroy two more carriers before being sunk, and inadvertently saved the other US carriers.
