TIL in 1950, a baby elephant named Tuffi was put on a suspended monorail in Wuppertal Germany as a stunt. She panicked, burst out of a carriage window, and fell 12 metres into the river below. Tuffi survived the fall with only minor injuries and lived for another 39 years.
