TIL that Taco Bell was founded by Glen Bell, who opened the first Taco Bell in 1962, after previously running taco stands called Taco Tia and El Taco. The original walk-up window location served tostadas, burritos, frijoles, chiliburgers, and tacos, all for 19 cents.
