TIL about the ghost ship Deering. The ship was abandoned by the crew, who took personal belongings, navigational equipment, papers and the ship's anchor. Despite an FBI investigation, no trace of the crew or the ship's logs were ever found. Speculation ranges from a mutiny to Bolshevik pirates.
