TIL In 2002, highly toxic counterfeit cigarettes were being sold in the UK. The cigarettes were produced in unhygienic factory conditions, included tobacco sweepings, sawdust, dirt, banned chemicals. The cigarettes accounted for at least a quarter of all cigarettes smoked in Britain that year.
