TIL Thomas Edison was a jealous asshole. He was so jealous of George Westinghouse and Nikola Tesla that he would publicly electrocute animals to prove how bad Alternating Current was. Edison jumped at the chance to publicly electrocute Topsy the elephant at The Luna Park Zoo.
