TIL of Heinz Drossel, a German Lieutentant during WWII that refused to join the Nazi Party. He came upon a woman on a bridge who attempted to jump as soon as she saw his uniform, as she was Jewish. He stopped her and assisted her in escaping to safety. After the war, he married her.
