TIL that Fukushi Masaichi (30 January 1878 – 3 June 1956) was a Japanese physician and pathologist in Tokyo. He was the founder of the world's only known collection of tattoos taken from the dead. He collected an archive of about 2000 "hides", which were later lost during World War II.
