TIL Herschel Grynszpan, a Jew whose killing of a Nazi diplomat sparked Kristallnacht. He was assumed to have been killed by the Nazis after disappearing from historical records in 1942. However, a 2016 facial recognition test yielded a 95% chance of Grynszpan being the man in a post-WW2, 1946 photo.
