TIL Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol was a Parisienne theatre that primarily put on horror and amoral productions. Celebrities and royals would sometimes attend and viewers were know to faint, vomit, or become aroused. Grand-Guignol lasted from 1897 to 1962, with declines following the Second World War.
