TIL that the UN peacekeeper forces are primarily composed of soldiers from poor countries as the UN pays governments 1410$/month(as of 2018) for each soldier. UN also doesn't give salaries, pensions or any benefits for soldiers so governments use part of this 1410$ for paying them
