TIL that in 1938, 18-year-old Korean Yang Kyoungjong was conscripted by Japan to fight against the USSR. In 1939 he was captured by the Soviets and sent to fight against the Germans. He was then captured by the Nazis and sent to fight on D-Day only to be captured by the Americans.
