TIL that during WWII, japanese opened a camp called unit 731 to develop biological weapons. They drove all kinds of horrible and inhuman experiments on war prisoners and Chinese civilians (Killing 10 000 and 400 000 while testing weapons). Americans gave them immunity in exchange of the results.
