TIL that between 1911-12, George Murray Levick observed a breeding cycle of Adelie Penguins on Cape Adare. He found them to be very depraved, practicing homosexuality, necrophilia, and abuse. He suppressed the study, which was only published last year, because he found it “too shocking”.
