TIL Alan Conway was a scam artist who successfully impersonated Stanley Kubrick in the early 1990s. Rather than being annoyed, Kubrick was instead fascinated by the scam. Years later, Kubrick's personal assistant tracked down Conway and made a film based on his exploits.
