TIL: Over the past two centuries, Singapore’s land area has expanded by a 25% – from 58,150 to 71,910 hectares (or 578 to 719 sq km).1 This gradual increase in land surface is not because of tectonic movements but rather the miracle of a man-made engineering feat known as land reclamation.
