TIL that in 2013, rapper Eminem was offered a deal with director Neil Blomkamp to star in the movie "Elysium" as the main protagonist, Max DeCosta. Eminem later declined the offer, because Blomkamp refused to film the movie in Eminem's home city, Detroit. The role was later given to Matt Damon.
