TIL that Popeyes Chicken began in New Orleans, LA as "Chicken On The Run", as owner Al Copeland wanted Popeyes to directly compete with KFC. Only open a few months, the original restaurant failed, causing Copeland to rename it Popeyes Might Good Chicken, which became Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken.
