TIL of Knut Haugland, WW2 Norwegian resistance fighter who took part in Operation Gunnerside which the film The Heroes of Telemark was based on. Haugland was later captured by the nazis and escaped, twice and would later be part of the Kon Tiki crew alongside Thor Heyerdal. A total badass.
