TIL that Eve (meaning “life” in Hebrew) is made of Adam’s rib, because in Sumerian language word “nin” is a pun, meaning both “life” and “rib”. Whole story is based on Sumerian myth of Enki and Ninti living in Dilmun (Sumerian version of paradise), and pun was instrumental in translation.
