TIL the earliest home TV recording was discovered in 1996. Done in London in 1933 (when only a few thousand 30-line TVs existed) using a phonograph recorder to record the audible TV signal transmitted after the regular BBC radio broadcast ended at 11 PM. It was 4 minutes of dancing girls.
