TIL that the early 1910s/1920s Winnipeg Falcons hockey team was almost entirely made up of Icelandic-Canadians who had been excluded from playing elsewhere because of their immigrant origins. They went on become the 1920 Canadian champs and represent Canada in the 1920 Olympics, where they won gold.
